U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman issued this statement following a bicameral passage of the Keystone XL Pipeline. The legislation passed 270-152.
"Today, I was once again proud to support bipartisan legislation to approve and begin building the Keystone XL Pipeline. The construction of this pipeline has overwhelming support from the American people and now the backing of both the House and the Senate. Congress understands that this project will bring tens of thousands of jobs to the workforce and potentially $2 billion of revenue to our economy.
"Stalling on common sense projects that will benefit our country only fosters distrust among our public officials. The construction of this pipeline is long past due. Now is the time for President Obama to put politics aside, listen to the American people, and sign this bill into law."
