Today Congressman Kevin Cramer, a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, released the following statement on the President's Broadband Announcement:

"The explosion of opportunities presented by an open and free internet have truly revolutionized rural economic opportunities. Entrepreneurs working with telecommunications cooperatives and private providers are leading the charge and ought to be encouraged by a nonintrusive federal government. Once again, the president seems committed to imposing federal intrusion where none is necessary and in all likelihood would only serve as a barrier to economic opportunity and job creation."
