Today Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reaffirmed their approval of North Dakota's regional haze plan as it relates to nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission controls and limits for three electric power generating units:
"While it did take them nearly three years to arrive at this determination, I am glad the EPA has finally done the right thing. North Dakota's regional haze plan is a diligent one and reflects our commitment as a state to clean air, and great quality of life. This is good news for the citizens of North Dakota, who continue to enjoy some of the nation's lowest utility rates and cleanest air."
