CHARLESTON, WV (5/13) Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) released the following statement today regarding Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfelds inclusion of the 130th Airlift Wing in his recommendations for realignments and closures to the BRAC commission.

"We are prepared for this fight," noted Capito. "The 130th Airlift Wing performs above and beyond its duty in wartime and peacetime. I am going to make it very clear to the BRAC commission the important role the 130th plays for West Virginia and the nation. I want each and every Guardsman and woman to know I will do everything in my power to keep the 130th at full strength."
