Rep. Pallone Statement on FDA Commissioner Hamburg

House Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. issued the following statement on Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Margaret Hamburg stepping down:

"During Dr. Hamburg's tenure over the last six years, she has been a tireless public servant focused on protecting the public health and facilitating innovation. Because of her efforts, we have made significant progress towards modernizing the food safety system, implementing the Tobacco Control Act, and providing the best treatments for patients. I want to thank her for her hard work and dedication in leading the FDA, and I look forward to continuing to work with the Agency on outstanding priorities."
