Cornyn: Clay Hunt SAV Act Honors Life Of Texas Hero, Helps Warriors Heal From Invisible Wounds Of War

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after the Senate passed the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act:

"Not only does this legislation pay tribute to a Texas hero taken too soon from his family and this world, it also builds on the work Clay Hunt began in helping fellow veterans heal from the invisible wounds of war. Most importantly, the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act was crafted and shaped with direct input from veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, who know firsthand the challenges faced by this generation of freedom fighters."
