U.S. Senator John Cornyn, R-Texas, co-founder and co-chair of the bipartisan Senate India Caucus, released the following statement today in celebration of India's Republic Day:
"I join the people of India and the large Indian American population in Texas today in celebrating the anniversary of India's first democratic Constitution. America's strong relationship with India brings together the world's largest and oldest democracies in shared global interests, values, and goals. I'm proud to celebrate India's past 65 years of democracy and look forward to our bright future as allies."
