Young's bill to repeal 30-hour definition of "full time" passes House in bipartisan fashion

By a 252-172 vote on Thursday, the House overwhelmingly passed Rep. Todd Young's H.R 30, the Save American Workers Act. 12 Democrats joined all voting Republicans in passing the bill to repeal Obamacare's 30-hour definition of full-time employment and replace it with the 40-hour standard.

"The House sent a strong message today that we stand with the millions of American workers at risk for lost hours and wages because of this quirk in Obamacare," said Young. "By distorting the labor market's 40-hour standard, this provision unfairly impacts many of the same people Obamacare was ostensibly supposed to help. As the Senate prepares to consider a similar bipartisan measure, I urge President Obama to reconsider his position and join the growing number of Democrats who recognize the need to address some of the major unintended consequences of his health care law."
