Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) issued the following statement on the extension of negotiations with Iran:
"I am concerned about the extension of the P5+1 nuclear negotiations. While an extension of discussions is preferable to a bad deal, it is unacceptable that Iran will continue to enjoy sanctions relief without making any new concessions," said Congresswoman Wilson.
"The goal has been and must continue to be that Iran never achieves nuclear weapons capability. As a result, any final deal must lead to the dismantling of Iran's nuclear arms infrastructure, and include intensive monitoring mechanisms."
