Release: Priority #1 Moving Montana Forward: Zinke Announces Lifelong Montanan, Randy Vogel, as State Director

Montana Congressman-elect Ryan Zinke, a 23 year Navy veteran and former Commander at SEAL Team Six, reaffirmed his top priority of moving Montana forward today and announced he has hired lifelong Montanan Randy Vogel to lead his Montana staff as State Director. Vogel, a former officer with the Billings Police Department and veteran to Montana government, will oversee all of Zinke's state offices.

"My top priority representing the people of Montana is to bring Montana voices to Washington to move our great state forward, and that starts by building the best, most effective team possible; I can think of nobody better to help lead my team than Randy Vogel," said Congressman-elect Ryan Zinke. "Randy is a lifelong Montanan, dedicated public servant, and he has the experience and know-how necessary to help make our office as effective as possible so that the voice of all Montanans can be heard in the halls of Congress."

Vogel brings not only an in-depth knowledge of the issues facing Montana but also over a decade of experience in Montana politics. Following a successful career as a small business owner and officer in the Billings Police Department, Vogel served as a state director for former Congressman Denny Rehberg for eight years. In this role, Vogel traveled across the state, listened to the concerns of Montanans, and worked to ensure that those concerns were brought to the attention of the Congressman and were addressed.

Following Congressman Steve Daines' successful run for the United States House of Representatives, Vogel was hired as the newly elected Congressman's eastern regional director. In this capacity, he helped Congressman Daines set up his Billings District Office and listen to concerns from constituents in the eastern portion of the state. Additionally, Vogel has worked as a Regional Sales Representative for Employee Benefit Management Service. In recent months, he has served as the Political Director for Zinke's successful congressional campaign.
