Cramer Statement on Failure of Keystone XL Legislation in U.S. Senate

Today Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement after a failed vote in the U.S. Senate to authorize the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline:

"I am disappointed with today's vote, and the failure of too many Senators to recognize the need for job creation in this country. However, this is not the end of the road. We will bring this same legislation up once again for a vote next year. In the meantime, I would strongly encourage the President to recognize the writing is on the wall and sign the Presidential Permit based on the data he already has, which is more than sufficient."

Last week, Congressman Cramer spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of the legislation. It passed the House on a bipartisan majority with 221 Republicans and 31 Democrats voting in favor.
