U.S. Representative Sean Duffy (WI-07) focused on the House GOP's efforts to support policies that will encourage good opportunities for the next generation during the Republican leadership press conference.

"I had a chance to drive out from Wisconsin with my son, Jack. We had a lot of good quality time. As any parent today, I think about my child's future. As I look at Jack who is about to turn 13, I know other parents are out there looking at their own kids who are about to graduate from high school or college and they are looking at what opportunities exist for the next generation. It looks pretty bleak right now. As they look to this town, they want us all to work together. They want us to work on solutions that advance opportunity, not just for them, but also for the next generation.

"To work together, that means you need Republicans and Democrats singing off the same sheet of music. As you look at this new American Congress, we're willing to do that. We're willing to work on ideas that are going to grow opportunity, that are going to grow jobs, and allow people the pathway into better paying jobs. We need the President to help us -- we need the President to engage."
