Duffy on Keystone: If you build it they will come

U.S. Representative Sean Duffy (WI-07) released the following statement following the House's bi-partisan passage of H.R. 5682, legislation that would immediately approve the Keystone XL pipeline:

"As we saw with last winter's propane crisis, we cannot afford to allow politics to stand in the way of good projects that will bring all of the above energy options to our country. The Keystone XL Pipeline will ramp up our energy supply in far reaching areas of the country and create good paying jobs right here at home.

"I was glad to, once again, have the opportunity to voice my support for this project that has received wide-spread approval from Americans. I hope the President will heed the will of the American people, instead of his special interests, and allow this project to move forward."

The bill passed the House 252 to 161, including 31 Democrats who supported the measure.
