"It is a tremendous honor to have earned the trust of the people of Minnesota's 6th Congressional District. This campaign was about giving the voters a clear choice in terms of a positive vision and direction for our communities and for Minnesota.

The results tonight reaffirm the optimist spirit I see in the people of this district. We have some significant challenges to address and we also have an important opportunity. Working together we can build an exciting future for people and communities across this district, as well as for all of Minnesota.

I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to represent the people of Minnesota. Jacquie and I are very thankful for all of the support leading up to tonight and I will work incredibly hard to be a strong and effective voice for Minnesotans in the United States House of Representatives."
