Van Hollen Statement on New Investment into Green Climate Fund

Today Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) released the following statement in support of the Obama Administration's announcement of new investment into the Green Climate Fund:
The United States' pledge to the Green Climate Fund will help engage the international community to take action to fight climate change. Next week in Berlin, other nations will come forward with their own pledges, forming a global effort for investment in clean energy in developing countries, reductions in emissions, and adaptation to the changing environment. These pledges, coupled with international commitments for carbon reductions, are meaningful steps to protect our nations from the most dangerous impacts of climate change.
