Collins Opposes Obama Attempt at More Internet Regulation

Statement

Congressman Doug Collins (GA-09) made the following statement today after President Obama tried to strong-arm the FCC into increasing regulations on the internet.

Collins said: "I've spent a lot of time visiting schools in my district, where I meet kids from all walks of life who will pursue all avenues of education--four year universities, technical schools, vocational training. Whatever path they choose, they'll all rely on access to a free and open internet. It's in everyone's best interest to encourage investment in rural broadband development, not to discourage it by even greater regulation. It's my hope that the leadership at the FCC remembers they serve the American public, not just the president."
