U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement regarding Veterans Day:

"Today I proudly join Americans across the country in thanking the brave active duty and retired servicemen and women who have selflessly protected our great nation. Our nation's veterans have made endless sacrifices to ensure that the freedoms that we enjoy day in and day out are preserved. We are forever indebted to them for their service.

"Our country has thrived and prospered because of the willingness of our servicemen and women to tirelessly defend and protect the values and the freedoms that we hold near and dear to our hearts. Today and every day, let us pause to pay tribute to the men and women in uniform for their unwavering commitment to protecting American security and prosperity."
