U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement regarding the October unemployment report:
"Although I am pleased to learn that some people were able to find employment last month, this week the American people made it very clear that they are upset with the direction of our economy and the slow job growth that has come with it. They know that there is still much more work to be done to ensure that all individuals have the opportunities to find good-paying, full-time jobs.
"As the 113th Congress draws to a close and the 114th Congress begins, I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House and the Senate on common sense, pro-growth policies that Harry Reid ignored for years. It is time for both bodies of Congress to work together and help get Americans back to work."
