Flanked by a host of local business leaders and leading members of Congress, Elise Stefanik today accepted the endorsement of the US Chamber of Commerce at a major campaign stop at Jeffords Steel and Engineering Company.

Geoffrey O'Hara, Executive Director of the Eastern Region Office of the US Chamber of Commerce, and a host of local business leaders joined Stefanik for the event, which served as the first official event of the campaign's "New Ideas, New Generation" Tour, a district-wide Get Out The Vote tour through Election Day on Tuesday, November 4th.

"Growing up and working in her family's small business, Elise Stefanik is acutely aware of the challenges facing businesses and families in the North Country. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce believes that Elise Stefanik is the only candidate in this election who will help grow jobs and get our country back on track," said Mr. O'Hara.

"After talking to hundreds of small businesses across the North Country since I launched our campaign in August 2013, I know how important it is to ensure small businesses succeed, create jobs and that hardworking families can count on good paying jobs and more take home pay," said Stefanik.

"I am honored to be endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce, and I am humbled by the support of hard working families and small business owners across the North Country," Stefanik added. "They know I will fight for tax and regulatory reforms, fight for jobs and for job creators, and for a stronger economic future for the North Country."

"As a representative of Jeffords Steel and Engineering Company and personally, we are proud to support Elise. We feel she is the person to send to Washington that will support our business and the community," said James Favreau, CFO of Jeffords Steel and Engineering Company.

At the event, National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR), Deputy Chair Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), and Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) also joined Stefanik.

"I have been so impressed with how hard Elise has worked on the campaign trail to connect with voters in the North Country. It is that same work ethic and dedication that will make her a fantastic Congresswoman who can make a real difference for hard working families, and small businesses in the 21st District," said NRCC Chair Walden.
