Another woman running for Congress in Iowa: Dr. Mariannette Miller Meeks.

She's running against incumbent democrat Dave Loebsack for the House District 2 seat .

On Wednesday, she made a stop in Davenport for a breakfast meet and greet at the Scott County Republican Headquarters to talk about government transparency.

"We see more part time jobs being created than full time jobs," said Miller Meeks. "You know when people look at all that and they say well the government keeps wanting to expand and increase regulations and affect my life but yet they don't seem to follow their own rules and no one's holding them accountable."

Dr. Miller-Meeks was joined by National Republican Congressional Committee chairman Greg Walden.

She focused on the need for the second district to be a check and balance on the president's policies.
