Release: MSU Billings Poll Numbers Show Zinke with Strong Lead

Ryan Zinke, Candidate for Montana's lone Congressional seat, leads his opponent, John Lewis, by nearly 7 percentage points in a recent poll of Montana voters released this morning by the Montana State University of Billings.

This news comes after Ryan Zinke raised over $1.9 million in the third fundraising quarter of the--more than his opponent has raised in the duration of his campaign.

"We are working hard to get our message of the need for more leadership and less politics out to the people of Montana," said Ryan Zinke. "Montanans don't want another D.C. insider like John Lewis in Congress. They want someone who is honest and will work hard to improve our economy, promote energy independence, and protect the 2nd Amendment--that isn't John Lewis, and Montanans know it."

The MSU Billings poll also indicated that many Montanans are concerned about our national security with the threat of ISIS continuing to grow under the watch of the Obama administration.

Zinke, a 23 year veteran of the Navy SEALs, former Commander at SEAL Team Six, and Deputy and acting Commander of the Combined Joint Special Operations in Iraq in 2004, unlike his opponent, understands the severity of the threat posed by ISIS.

"These terrorists cannot be reformed or reasoned with," said Zinke. "And this administration continues to underestimate the threat that ISIS poses. John Lewis stated he wanted to place economic sanctions on ISIS--he simply doesn't understand how to deal with our serious national security issues."

"One indicator after another shows that Ryan Zinke is the representative that Montana voters want to represent them in Congress," said campaign spokesperson Shelby DeMars. "John Lewis is part of the problem in Washington. After spending over a decade working as a D.C. bureaucrat and helping pass ObamaCare, it's no wonder Montanans won't support him."
