Gov. Rounds Proclaims May 4 as State Employee Recognition Day

In honor of the hard work and dedicated service that state employees provide for the citizens of South Dakota, Gov. Mike Rounds today has proclaimed May 4, 2005 as "State Employee Recognition Day" in South Dakota.

In a letter from the governor to each employee, the governor says, "I want to take a moment to tell you something I think you deserve to hear more often: "Thank You." Thank you for your dedication, kindness and generosity. You are the ones who take care of those who can't take care of themselves. You are the ones who make sure we have safe communities to live in and endless opportunities for our children. The jobs each of you perform contribute significantly to the overall health, safety and development of our state."
