Today, the Bill Foster for Congress campaign announced that Foster has received endorsements from a bipartisan group of local officials including Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.

The list includes:

Mayor Tim Baldermann, New Lenox
Village President Dale Berman, North Aurora
Village President Matt Brolley, Montgomery
Mayor Tom Giarrante, Joliet
Fmr. Village President Marilyn Michelini, Montgomery
Mayor Tom Weisner, Aurora

"As a scientist and businessman I know that no party has a monopoly on good ideas, and that's why I am honored to receive the support from this bipartisan group of local officials," said Foster. "Working closely with local officials is a critical part of representing the 11th District and an honor I hope to continue to have."

"Bill Foster has been extremely responsive to the needs and concerns of our community. From day one, Congressman Foster has been an outstanding communicator and engaged representative. Bill brings our concerns to Washington and represents us with integrity," said New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann.

"Bill Foster must be retained in Congress for his dedication and experience. His background as a scientist, business leader and Representative in the 11th District prove to me he deserves my support," said North Aurora Village President Dale Berman.

"It's with great enthusiasm that I endorse your candidacy for a 3rd term representing Montgomery in the US Congress. I find your science based, logical approach to solving our nations problems refreshing and inspiring," said Montgomery Village President Matt Brolley.

"I fully support Bill Foster for re-election. He has provided outstanding representation to the 11th Congressional District of Illinois. His common sense solutions to today's complicated issues are refreshing and highly overdue. We need his voice in Washington to continue to speak loud and clear for the people here at home. I am proud to support his re-election for Congress," said Joliet Mayor Tom Giarrante.

"I'm proud to endorse Bill Foster to represent the 11th District. Bill has always been accessible and responsive to our needs. I know he will continue to fight for our priorities in Washington," said Former Montgomery Village President Marilyn Michelini.

"Bill Foster's strength as our Congressman has been to do what a scientist and businessman does best: seek solutions and results -- not partisan stalemate. For the sake of our district, for the sake of our nation, we need to send Bill Foster back to Congress," said Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner.
