Today Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen announced that the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy has awarded a $2.77 million grant to the Add Us In initiative, a group of organizations including TransCen Inc. in Rockville that aims to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities. TransCen Inc. works to improve educational and employment outcomes for people in underrepresented and historically excluded communities.
"TransCen Inc. does inspiring work to help Marylanders with disabilities experience the fulfillment of having a job and the economic security that employment brings," said Congressman Van Hollen. "This grant will help TransCen further its work to ensure that everyone who wants a job can find one, regardless of disability or other barrier to employment."
