U.S. Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01), a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, issued the following statement after participating in a hearing in Washington today on the U.S. Secret Service's procedures after a recent security breach at the White House:
"I am stunned by the details of the security breaches at the White House and what appears to be dangerous dysfunction and gross neglect within the Secret Service. We must have the highest security standards for the President, his family and the White House. I share with my colleagues on the Oversight Committee a sense of urgency in fixing the problems with the Secret Service's procedures and preventing future security breaches."
