Westerman Earns Huckabee Endorsement

Press Release

Location: Hot Springs, AR

Former Arkansas House Majority Leader and Fourth District Congressional Candidate Bruce Westerman (R-Hot Springs) today released the following statement after receiving the endorsement of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for his general election campaign to represent the Fourth District in the 114th Congress:

"It is an honor to earn the endorsement of a fellow Fourth District native and former Governor of our great state. While he's become a national leader and spokesperson for the conservative cause in America, Governor Huckabee has never lost his love and care for Arkansas. I am proud to stand with those opposed to President Obama's failed policies that are--by his own admission--on the ballot this year. It is time for less hassles from Washington and more freedom for Arkansans, and that is what I will fight for in Congress."

In a statement, Huckabee said: "Bruce Westerman is a conservative leader who has fought to ensure Arkansas's elected leaders truly represent the common sense rural values of her hardworking citizens. Bruce has a proven record of not only protecting the lives of the unborn, but the rights of parents to choose the best school for their children, the integrity of the ballot box, our pocketbooks from higher taxes, and our Second Amendment rights.

"The Fourth District is my home, and the values Bruce and I grew up with deserve a voice in Congress. Bruce Westerman is a servant first, and that is what makes him a leader that I am proud to endorse."
