Following today's announcement that New Hampshire's unemployment rate dropped to 4.3 percent in September, Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement:
"The news that our unemployment rate dropped to 4.3 percent in September -- significantly lower than the national rate of 5.9 percent and almost a full percentage point lower than September 2013 -- is an encouraging sign of progress for our people, businesses and economy, but we know that we still have work to do to support our job-creating businesses, expand middle class opportunity and keep our economy moving in the right direction."
