This morning, the Zinke for Congress campaign released a new ad emphasizing Ryan Zinke's staunch support of the 2nd Amendment and Montana's hunting heritage.
The ad, titled "Shoot", shines a light on his opponent's close affiliation with anti-gun advocates from D.C. "John Lewis is misleading Montana voters by pretending to be pro-gun," said spokeswoman Shelby DeMars. "John Lewis will vote with Nancy Pelosi and anti-gun advocate Steny Hoyer in D.C.--Montanans can't trust him. In fact, Hoyer urged John Lewis to stay silent about gun control until a Democrat like Pelosi controls the U.S. House. Lewis claims he supports the 2nd Amendment, but his actions speak to the contrary."
The thirty second ad also points to Zinke's extensive background as a Navy SEAL, his appreciation of firearms, and his acknowledgement that hunting is an important tradition in Montana.
"I grew up hunting in Montana," said Zinke. "I want to make sure that future generations of Montanans have the same opportunities I did to experience our outdoor heritage."
"Preserving our 2nd Amendment rights is vital to ensuring this important tradition and our way of life--I will work to preserve these Montana values," continued Zinke. "My opponent has already established alliances that will limit our 2nd Amendment rights. We simply can't let Lewis and the bureaucrats in D.C. destroy our state's strong hunting heritage."
