Pete Aguilar and Rep. Juan Vargas Join Inland Empire Residents for Early Voting Rally on First Day of Voting in the 2014 Election

Today, Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar, Democratic candidate for California's 31st Congressional district and U.S. Representative Juan Vargas (CA-51) joined Inland Empire residents outside of the San Bernardino County Registrar's office for a GOTV and early voting rally. Aguilar joined dozens of early voters and casted his ballot in San Bernardino.

"Today is the first day of early voting, and I am excited to join all of you to officially kick off voting season and cast our votes," said Aguilar. "This election is all about securing a future for the Inland Empire's middle class and by voting early, we can continue to knock on doors and spread our message about investing in education and job creation until Election Day."

Aguilar was joined by U.S. Representative Juan Vargas who also spoke to residents and encouraged Latino voters in the community to get out and vote.

"Pete Aguilar will prioritize the Inland Empire's economy and middle class in Washington, and he brings with him a great deal of experience working across the aisle to get things done," said Rep. Juan Vargas. "We need more people like him to join us in Congress to fight for education, jobs, immigration reform and commonsense policies to move our country forward."

Inland Empire residents can vote early at the San Bernardino County Registrar's office, by absentee or at their local polling place on Election Day. The Aguilar Team encouraged residents and supporters to make a voting plan to ensure that everyone exercises their right to vote.
