Team Aguilar Makes 30,000 Calls in One Day

Team Aguilar supporters and volunteers participated in a marathon day of phone banking yesterday, reaching out to 30,000 voters in San Bernardino County to tell them about Pete Aguilar's Middle Class Initiative and the distinct choice they have in this election. Volunteers spoke with voters about Republican Paul Chabot's out of touch agenda that includes cutting funding for education, veterans and seniors while supporting tax breaks for corporations that ship jobs overseas.

"San Bernardino County residents have a clear choice in this election," Aguilar said. "I will stand up for the middle class, invest in education and job creation and fight to protect seniors and veterans. As our team continues to knock on doors and make calls, people repeatedly tell me they want someone who will stand up and lead the fight for the middle class in Washington."

The marathon day of phone banking is a part of an overall GOTV effort that kicked off this week that will include an additional 10,000 calls by Friday and knocking on over 3,000 doors in the Inland Empire. Volunteers are encouraged to visit the Aguilar website to join in the effort.

"When I talk to folks on the phone and tell them about Pete, his family, his record as Mayor and his priorities, they are overwhelmingly supportive," said Steffanie Allen Young, a Team Aguilar volunteer and second grade teacher in San Bernardino. "And then when I tell them about Paul Chabot's plan to cut education, which would devastate students and teachers like myself, the choice is obvious."

Pete Aguilar is a small business owner and Mayor of Redlands. He is a strong advocate for economic growth and fairness for the middle class in the Inland Empire and a leader who has reached across party lines to serve the best interests of San Bernardino County.
