Pete Aguilar Joins Women Small Business Owners and Supporters to Honor Women's Equality Day

In honor of Women's Equality Day, Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar, Democratic candidate for Congress in California's 31st district, today hosted a women's luncheon at Olive Avenue Market in Redlands. Olive Avenue Market is a locally owned small business, operated by three women, all residents of Redlands.

"Women's Equality Day is an important reminder that there is still work to do to ensure that our mothers, sisters, daughters and grandmothers have every opportunity they deserve," Aguilar said. "It's an honor to be here today at a women owned small business right here in Redlands. I stand by your side in the fight for equal pay, access to reproductive choice and support for small businesses so that women can continue to succeed and make our community strong."

Women's Equality Day is a nationally recognized commemoration of the 19thAmendment to the United States Constitution giving women the right to vote. The 19th Amendment was certified into law on August, 26 1920.

"As a mother of three daughters and as a small business owner, I believe Pete will represent us well in Congress," Olive Avenue Market owner Sonya Rozzi said. "He has done a good job as Mayor and I'm confident he will do the same in Washington."

Pete Aguilar is a small business owner and Mayor of Redlands. He is a strong advocate for economic growth and fairness in the Inland Empire, a leader who has reached across party lines to serve the best interests of middle class families in San Bernardino County.
