U.S. Senate candidate Tom Cotton announced today that he has raised $3.8 million during the third quarter of 2014, a record-setting number for statewide candidates in Arkansas. The exceptional financial support leaves Cotton well positioned to knock off two-term incumbent Senator Mark Pryor on November 4th.
Cotton's impressive fundraising totals were made possible by adding an eye-popping 20,444 new donors during the three-month period from July through September. In those ninety-one days, the campaign received 32,199 contributions from donors.
Cotton's 3rd quarter fundraising eclipsed the previous record of $2.65 million set in 2010 by then-Senator Blanche Lincoln.
Tom Cotton said, "Thank you to each and every person who is generously helping our campaign with their time, resources and energy. It is the work of our thousands of volunteers and supporters in Arkansas and around the country that will lift us to victory on November 4th. Together, we will make Washington, D.C. listen to the voices of Arkansans who are sick and tired of politics as usual and who want to get our country back on track."
