Today Is The One-Year Anniversary Of Pryor's "Amazing Success"

Press Release

Today marks the one year anniversary of the launch of Obamacare, which was marred by the disastrous rollout of Healthcare.gov -- an inaccessible, broken website that's reportedly still not reliable.

Unfortunately, a broken website was only a small part of the Obamacare disaster that's unfolded over the last year. Across our state, Obamacare is hurting our economy, costing us jobs, and making life harder for Arkansas families. But you wouldn't know that from the way Senator Pryor talks about it. He's proud of his deciding vote for Obamacare.

Senator Mark Pryor: "It [Obamacare] is an amazing success story"--to KHOG 8/6/13

Reality: The Washington Post reports that between 7 and 12 million plans have been cancelled nationwide.

Senator Mark Pryor: "This bill [Obamacare] isn't killing jobs. This bill [Obamacare] is creating jobs"-- to the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce

Reality: The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates Obamacare will cost the U.S. economy 2.5 millions jobs in the next ten years.

Senator Mark Pryor: "I think it [Obamacare] was the right vote. I think it [Obamacare] was good for Arkansas"-- to KARK 6/2/13

Reality: According to a study conducted by Forbes.com, Arkansas will see a 138% increase in premiums because of Obamacare.

"Obamacare is anything but the "amazing success story' Senator Pryor claims it is. What's worse, even when presented with the terrible reality of Obamacare's impact on Arkansas, he continues to double down on his support," said Tom Cotton. "As your Senator, I will work to fully repeal this unworkable law and replace it with healthcare reforms that will actually lower costs for middle class families and improve access to care."
