President Bill Clinton Returns to Maryland to Support Anthony Brown

Today, for the second time during the governor's race, President Bill Clinton visited Maryland to support Anthony Brown at a private fundraising event in Potomac. With more than 450 supporters in attendance, the event raised over $1.2 million for the Brown-Ulman campaign as the race enters the final weeks.

Anthony Brown "should be your governor, because it's a job. He's got the right priorities, he'll do it in the right way, and you know it because of what he has done as Lt. Governor," said President Bill Clinton. "Anthony Brown will not waste one single solitary day. He will be building a future that you can all share -- and that's why you should elect him."

"I am very grateful to President Clinton for changing his schedule to travel to Maryland and attend our event this evening -- and I appreciate and respect Hillary Clinton's decision to spend time with her daughter and new granddaughter, Charlotte," said Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown. "I am also honored to have the support of both Hillary Clinton and President Clinton because we share a common commitment to working families and expanding America's middle class. I know that with their backing and so many others around the state, we'll be successful come Election Day."
