3 Foreign Policy Reasons Why We Need New Leadership in Washington, Part 2

Press Release

Date: Sept. 18, 2014

Senator-Soldier Lee Zeldin, Republican and Conservative Party candidate for Congress in New York's First Congressional District, today released the second of a three part series of statements this week on 3 foreign policy reasons why we need new leadership in Washington:

"It was found during a recent CBS/New York Times poll that 57% of Americans believe President Obama hasn't been tough enough when dealing with ISIS and only 41% of Americans approve of his policies when it comes to dealing with terrorism.

Just last week, Congressman Bishop stated his support for the President's plan of action to deal with ISIS, despite a majority of Americans disapproving of Obama's handling of ISIS and terrorist groups.

Bishop said less than a week ago that ISIS "is not a threat yet to the homeland.' I disagree.

Just yesterday, a New York man was arrested for ties to ISIS for allegedly attempting to recruit new members to their terror network to kill Americans. Our citizens and our country's security is at serious risk and the incumbent Congressman's head is buried in the sand.

The President and Congressman need to step up their game, because ISIS is much more of a threat to America than either of them are willing to admit."
