Jeanne Shaheen Kicks Off "New Hampshire Jobs First" Tour in Nashua, Dover

Shaheen Highlights Contrast Between Her Record of Supporting Jobs in New Hampshire And Scott Brown's Record Supporting Companies That Send American Jobs Overseas

Manchester, NH -- Today, Senator Jeanne Shaheen kicked off her "New Hampshire Jobs First" tour with events in Nashua and Dover to contrast her work to support companies that create jobs here in New Hampshire and Scott Brown's history of supporting Big Oil, Wall Street, and companies that ship jobs overseas. The Senator's tour began at WH Bagshaw Manufacturing in Nashua and then continued at Eco Touch Premium Car Care in Dover. Both companies on the tour have created good paying jobs here in New Hampshire and epitomize the types of local businesses Jeanne Shaheen has always stood up for in the Senate.

"New Hampshire's businesses deserve a Senator who will fight for them," said Senator Shaheen. "I've spent my entire career working to support companies and jobs in places like Nashua, Dover, and communities across our state. When Scott Brown represented Massachusetts, he voted against the Small Business Jobs Act and against tax cuts for the New Hampshire small businesses, but he took every opportunity he had to support for Big Oil, Wall Street, companies that outsource, and the corporate interests that have funded his campaign. New Hampshire knows I will always put them first, and they know Scott Brown has his own interests in mind."

WH Bagshaw, the first company on the Senator's tour, is the oldest pin manufacturer in the United States and has been creating good paying manufacturing jobs in New Hampshire for decades. Eco Touch, the second stop on the tour, is a small business that also has also created New Hampshire jobs and produces quality car care products that don't harm the environment or the health of those who use them.

In the Senate, Scott Brown opposed the Small Business Jobs Act but supported special tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. Now, Brown continues to serve on the board of the company Kadant Inc., which outsourced American jobs to China and Mexico to increase its bottom line. As a Kadant board member, Brown has made more than a quarter million dollars since February of 2013 and signed documents endorsing the company's outsourcing strategy just two days before he declared his run for the Senate in New Hampshire. Meanwhile, New Hampshire has lost the highest percentage of jobs to China than any other state in the nation.
