Senator Shaheen Statement On Scott Brown's Vote Against New Hampshire's Tourism Industry

Senator Jeanne Shaheen released the following statement after it was reported that Scott Brown voted against the Travel Promotion Act, critical legislation that boosted New Hampshire's tourism industry:

"New Hampshire's tourism industry is critical to nearly 70,000 jobs across our state and our economy as a whole. That's why it has always been a top priority of mine to support tourism, both as Senator and as Governor. And it's why I was proud to lead a bipartisan effort to pass the Travel Promotion Act, which has done so much to benefit New Hampshire's economy.

Scott Brown's record is clear: he voted against New Hampshire small businesses, our tourism industry, and the jobs they support, but he voted for billions in special tax breaks for Big Oil. This latest revelation is just more proof that Scott Brown is not for New Hampshire, but only for the corporate interests who fund his campaigns and line his pockets."
