oday, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) denounced President Obama and his allies in Congress for delaying authorization of the Keystone XL pipeline. It has now been 6 years since the application for building the Keystone pipeline was submitted.
Dr. Cassidy offered the following statement:
"Building the Keystone XL pipeline means thousands of direct and indirect jobs for American workers. If the President and Senate Democrats cared about our workers and creating jobs, they would have advanced the Keystone pipeline 6 years ago. Keystone deserves a vote on the Senate floor. Americans are ready to take advantage of our nation's natural resources and build the pipeline. The President and Senate Democrats should let them."
Yesterday, the House passed a number of bills to promote energy independence, including the Northern Route Approval Act, which would authorize building the Keystone pipeline.
