Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) commented on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:
"Today we remember the lives lost and the families forever affected by the September 11 terrorist attacks. We honor our brave first responders who selflessly provided assistance on that tragic day. We also pay tribute to our troops, who have sacrificed so much to prevent future terrorist attacks.
"Let us also never forget the Americans killed two years ago in Benghazi. This is also a reminder that we must have a strong military and strategic foreign policies. Destroying terrorist networks and putting safeguards in place to protect America's interests at home and abroad must be a priority."
