Patrick Henry Hays Hides Behind Nancy Pelosi's TV Ads

Press Release

Date: Sept. 30, 2014
Location: Little Rock, AR

Months ago, Nancy Pelosi and the liberal Washington establishment cooked up a "research book" full of absolute lies, which they thought could sway this election. Patrick Henry Hays is now repeating those lies on TV. Arkansas press and pundits have cast their verdict: sleaze at its worst.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette columnist John Brummett described Hays' ad as "sleazy and stupid…politics at its worst…Patrick Henry Hays transformed from Andy Griffith to Hannibal Lecter in an instant."

Regarding the Shoffner accusations, Associated Press reporter Andrew DeMillo said, "Hill and his bank were never involved".

Arkansas Times columnist Max Brantley called Hays' ad "misleading".

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that Deputy Legislative Auditor Jon Moore said there was "…no indication that the state treasurer's bond investments through Delta Trust & Bank were tied to campaign contributions by Hill and the bank."

Despite these clear facts, Patrick Henry Hays' liberal, Washington allies launched a similar smear attack ad today. Thankfully, no amount of Washington lies can erase the facts.

"Patrick Henry Hays is a 26-year, career politician who called President Obama his "star quarterback', took 22 pay raises as mayor and takes his marching orders from Nancy Pelosi and Washington liberals--not Arkansans," said Jack Sisson, campaign manager for French Hill.

"Washington is dysfunctional, while health care costs keep rising and middle-class families are hurting," said French Hill. "Instead of focusing on the issues, Patrick Henry Hays wants to lie to Arkansans with Washington-style gutter politics cooked up by Nancy Pelosi."
