Today marks six years of inaction on the Keystone XL Pipeline and is a reminder to Iowans of Congressman Bruce Braley's willingness to put extreme environmentalist donors ahead of Iowans.
U.S. Senate Republican nominee Joni Ernst, who supports the pipeline because it will bring jobs, spur economic growth, decrease energy costs, and make our nation more energy independent, stated the following:
"Before a California billionaire lobbied him, Congressman Braley was for Keystone, but now he's against it. His flip-flop on Keystone is just another example of putting his extreme environmentalist donors first, and Iowans second. The same thing happened when he sold out Iowa farmers on Ditch the Rule last week. We can't trust Congressman Braley to put Iowans and their interests first."
Joni Ernst is a mother, soldier, and an independent leader from Red Oak, Iowa, and the Republican nominee for Iowa's open U.S. Senate seat. For questions and interview requests, please email Gretchen Hamel at gretchen@joniforiowa.com.
