Joni Ernst Kicks Off "Iowa Knows Best" Tour

Today, with 44 days left until Election Day, Republican U.S. Senate nominee Joni Ernst kicks off her 99 county "Iowa Knows Best" tour. Joni will visit every county across the Hawkeye State to share her vision for bringing proven Iowa solutions to the U.S. Senate in order to get our great nation headed back in the right direction. Her approach and values stand in stark contrast to those of her opponent, Congressman Bruce Braley, who believes that it is Washington that holds all of the answers.

The tour will begin today in Waterloo at the 7th Annual Black Hawk County Republican Lincoln Dinner and will be followed by stops in Polk and Jasper counties on Monday, September 22nd. On Thursday, September 25th, the first day of early voting in Iowa, Joni will debut the "Iowa Knows Best" RV alongside Governor Terry Branstad, Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, and other Iowa leaders.

"As the small town, grassroots candidate in this race, I am excited to crisscross Iowa and meet voters in all 99 counties in the coming weeks," said Joni Ernst. "I will work nonstop to meet as many Iowans as I can and share our message that Iowa knows best."

Joni's tour keeps with the tradition set out by Senator Chuck Grassley of taking the time to visit with Iowans in every county.

"Joni Ernst is running for office to serve everyday people. Dialogue from these visits with Iowans in each of the 99 counties will help Joni represent the people of Iowa. And, she'll take the work ethic and common sense she's learned while growing up on an Iowa family farm to Washington," Senator Grassley said. "The way I see it, Joni Ernst stepped up to lead when she served our country in Iraq, and that type of leadership will be an asset in the United States Senate."

Tomorrow, Joni will head to Newton, where she will attend the Republicans of Jasper County Block Party.
