Joni Ernst Issues Statement on One Year Anniversary of Failed Healthcare.gov Launch

Today, Joni Ernst, candidate for U.S. Senate in Iowa, issued the following statement on the one year anniversary of the failed launch of healthcare.gov:

"One year ago, as Americans tried, and failed, to enroll in the Obamacare website, they came face to face for the first time with the failure of government-run healthcare. This big-government, one-size-fits-all law proved to be exactly what I had feared -- a bureaucratic nightmare. Too many Americans, including my own friends and neighbors, had already lost their healthcare because of Obamacare, and now they couldn't even register for a new plan.

"Congressman Braley once said he had read the entire Obamacare bill, and wouldn't change a thing to fix it, no matter how bad the law has proven to be. But now, like a typical politician, he's flip flopped and wants Iowans to believe he's on their side. When I'm in the senate, I will work to repeal this law because it raises costs, reduces the quality of care, increases taxes and kills jobs. Working with both parties, we will replace Obamacare with patient-centered health care reforms that increase choice and actually improve care."
