Cotton Agrees To KARK Debate Moderated By NBC's Chuck Todd

U.S. Senate candidate Tom Cotton has formally accepted a debate invite from KARK-TV to be moderated by political reporter David Goins and Chuck Todd, moderator of NBC's Meet The Press. This marks the seventh debate invitation that Cotton has accepted during his campaign for U.S. Senate.

Senator Pryor has until Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. to accept or decline the invitation from KARK-TV. The debate would be broadcast statewide on all of the Nexstar Broadcasting stations and reach approximately 1.5 million households.

Unlike the only other head-to-head debate that Senator Pryor has accepted, the KARK-TV debate would not have any topic limitations. Senator Pryor specifically rejected the inclusion of foreign policy in a debate proposal from the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce. His campaign tried to deny that fact, but was exposed by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette after emails were released showing the Pryor campaign specifically rejected any discussion of foreign policy in the debate.

Tom Cotton said, "I'm looking forward to participating in this debate because Arkansans deserve more opportunities to hear the two candidates running for U.S. Senate share their ideas and their visions for our state and our nation. I look forward to laying out my conservative values and ideas and contrasting them with Senator Pryor's record of voting with President Obama 93% of the time."
