Westrom Kicks Off New Leadership Tour in West Central Minnesota

Yesterday, Torrey Westrom kicked off his New Leadership tour with visits and stops in Pope, Stevens, Big Stone, Traverse, Wilkin and Ottertail Counties. Over the next 45 days Westrom will visit all 38 counties in Minnesota's vast 7th Congressional District.

"I am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and support we've seen all across the 7th District," Westrom said in a statement. "It's clear that people are ready for a change, and want to see Congress focus on positive solutions, not partisanship. I believe our best days are ahead of us, and by returning to our common sense, rural values, we can create a better future for all Minnesotans."

At the Breckridge Dairy Queen, local business owner Brian Neppl told Westrom he believed Democrat Collin Peterson has been in Washington too long, and is concerned about the impact Washington's overregulation is having on businesses back home in western Minnesota. Throughout the tour, other voters were concerned about higher prices under ObamaCare, the proposed flood diversion project in Fargo-Moorehead, and Washington gridlock.
