Congressman Tom Cotton (R-Dardanelle) released the following statement on today's passage of the Waters of the United States Regulatory Overreach Protection Act:
"The EPA's proposed expansion of the Clean Water Act would allow the government to dictate everything from farmers' planting schedules to how often they can run a tractor. The Waters of the United States Regulatory Overreach Protection Act stops this rule in its tracks and returns the EPA jurisdiction to the common-sense limitations originally created by the Clean Water Act. Arkansans know better than Washington bureaucrats when it comes to protecting our natural resources. Rest assured, I will continue to push back against EPA overreach and protect Arkansas's interests."
