Cotton Votes to Fund the Government and Combat the Threat of ISIS

Congressman Tom Cotton (R-Dardanelle) released the following statement on passage of H.J. Res. 124, Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2015:

"Today the House voted to fund the government through December 11. While this is an important step, it's disappointing that Senate Democrats can't perform their most basic duty and do the same to provide long-term certainty and to prioritize the use of taxpayer dollars. This legislation also authorizes additional steps to combat the Islamic State. Regrettably, President Obama has ignored for years the threat of the Islamic State, dismissing them as 'the JV team' and saying he has no strategy to fight them, even as they behead Americans and crucify Christians. The Islamic State poses an immediate danger to the safety and security of Arkansans, and all Americans, and it's past time that we confronted and destroyed this mortal enemy."
