This evening, New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen will address supporters in Manchester to kick off her general election campaign.
Excerpts from her prepared remarks are below:
Fighting for the people of New Hampshire:
"We've been through a lot of fights together. And the people we fight for are New Hampshire's working families."
"I didn't just move here. I've been here."
"I didn't just move here. I've been here, working to make a difference for New Hampshire. No matter where Scott Brown lives, he's going to put Scott Brown first. Not you. Not your family. Not New Hampshire."
"There's a clear choice in this election."
"No matter where he lives, Scott Brown's not going to be there for working people My opponent voted to give the five biggest oil companies more than $20 billion in taxpayer subsidies. And what happened? Scott Brown got nearly a half million for his campaign from big oil. No matter where he lives, Scott Brown's going to be there for big oil."
"I voted against the $700 billion Wall Street bailout because I didn't think it was good for New Hampshire consumers. My opponent blocked financial reform until he could water it down and save Wall Street $19 billion. And then Wall Street gave Scott Brown more than $5 million for his campaign. No matter where he lives, Scott Brown's going to be there for Wall Street."
"And now we learn that my opponent's been paid more than a quarter million dollars by a company that shipped U.S. jobs to Mexico and China. He's still on the board of that company. He even endorsed their strategy of outsourcing jobs.The fact is Scott Brown may have changed his address but he hasn't changed his stripes."
