Ernst Condemns Braley for Voting Against Iowa Farmers

Press Release

Date: Sept. 10, 2014
Location: Des Moines, IA

Yesterday afternoon Congressman Bruce Braley turned on Iowa farmers by voting against legislation that would restrict the regulatory authority of the EPA under the Clean Water Act, making it more difficult for Iowa farmers to control their own farming practices.

This is the third time since mid-July that Congressman Braley has voted lockstep with the agenda of extreme environmentalist who bankroll his campaign, instead of Iowa's farmers and ranchers.

Republican U.S. Senate nominee Joni Ernst issued the following statement:

"Congressman Braley has once again put his environmental extremist allies ahead of Iowa farmers. Iowa needs a leader who will stand up for farmers and fight Washington overreach. Congressman Braley has made it clear he won't do that, but I will.

Congressman Braley should be putting the interests of Iowans first, not the California environmentalists who are financing his campaign."
