A "one size fits all" approach to education doesn't make the grade. The federal government needs to pull out of the classroom and allow local communities to continue being our children's champions.

Texans know how to educate our children. We have some of the best schools in the nation right here in Bell and Williamson counties. As a parent of four children and now a grandfather, I know the value of education and am proud of the great schools and opportunities in Central Texas.

From kindergarten to medical school, District 31 has it all. You can obtain your vocational degree, associates, bachelors, masters and even a medical degree by attending one of the great schools in our district: TSTC, Austin Community College, Central Texas College, Temple College, Texas A&M University-Central Texas, Texas State University in Round Rock, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Southwestern University, and Texas A&M Medical School in Temple and Round Rock. I promise to continue working to bring top-rated education programs to District 31 and keep Washington out of our classrooms.

We are blessed to live in Central Texas where educating and investing in our future is a priority!
